About
NEO is an MCP server that automates portfolio rebalancing, token minting/redemption, and M‑Pesa integration on the Hedera network, using on‑chain balances and off‑chain market data to keep user allocations optimal.
Capabilities

Neo – A Dynamic Asset‑Management MCP Server
Neo is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed to bridge AI assistants with real‑world financial operations on the Hedera network. It solves the problem of giving conversational agents the ability to monitor, evaluate, and act on a user’s digital asset portfolio in real time. By exposing a set of tools that interact with on‑chain balances, token prices, and off‑chain market data (such as NSE shares and M‑Pesa transaction history), Neo enables developers to build agentic workflows that can autonomously rebalance holdings, mint or redeem tokens, and log every decision for auditability.
At its core, Neo performs portfolio rebalancing. When a user’s holdings drift from their target allocation, or market volatility and sentiment signals flag risk, Neo automatically calculates the optimal set of token swaps. It pulls current balances from a Hedera account and an external broker portfolio, compares them against user‑defined targets or an AI model’s recommendations, estimates fees and slippage, and then signs Hedera transactions through the Agent Kit. Every rebalancing action is recorded in a private topic, ensuring transparency and traceability.
In addition to rebalancing, Neo supports minting and redeeming of custom tokens. Users can convert deposited fiat or USDC into new tokens that represent fractional shares of NSE stocks, or redeem those tokens back to fiat or USDC for withdrawal via M‑Pesa. The server checks the user’s current holdings, historical logs, and predefined constraints before approving any mint or redeem request, providing a safe and compliant workflow for tokenized assets.
Neo’s key capabilities include:
- On‑chain data access: token balances, prices, and transaction history via mirror node APIs.
- Off‑chain data integration: NSE stock prices, M‑Pesa transaction details, and user‑defined constraints.
- Automated decision logic: triggers for rebalancing based on deviation, volatility, or sentiment.
- Secure transaction signing: uses Hedera Agent Kit with user consent for all on‑chain actions.
- Audit logging: private topics record every action, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
Typical use cases involve fintech startups building AI‑driven investment advisors, blockchain wallets that auto‑diversify user assets, or platforms that tokenize equity and need seamless mint/redeem flows. By integrating Neo into an AI assistant’s toolset, developers can provide users with a conversational interface that not only advises but also executes sophisticated portfolio management tasks on the Hedera network.
